I love to use MakeMKV. The program is free while in Beta but it's been in beta for ever. Then use Handbrake to convert it to what ever you want.

I cannot see a problem, everybody copy`s dvd/bluray`s to watch on their tablet pc phone, as long as they own the dvd/bluray ect abd dont sell the copy`s

But laws can vary from country to country.

We discussed this before and last time i checked, as long as you are going to use the software to rip blu-rays that belong to you, we allow it.

I don't recall handbreak being able to bypass DVD css protection that I can recall otherwise more people would be using it. So unless you have another program to decrypt the DVD/BD protection you won't be able to use handbrake to redo the DVD. There are only one other program I do know that I use myself to RIP video to hard disk but that is a paid program only though. If handbrake can decrypt dvd someone please tell me if it does or not because as of now I know of two competing program that can bypass or decrypt DVD protection and BD as well beyond those two others I looked at seems to be not used alot or well known.

Some DVDs go through just fine with Handbrake, others don't. The most recent ones will not.
