These are mostly games or stuff i don't particularely want.

Can i just go ahead and delete them all without checking first?

Yes, you can just delete those. I deleted all of that from my notebook which i also bought recently. If i remember correctly, then most of those things were just shortcuts to websites that had those games.

I'd use add/remove programs for any of them that show up in that list. Then delete any others you don't want. Then clean your registry and you should be good.

clean the registry with "ccleaner" you mean?

I've been loading & removing programs like crazy since i got this thing. People were not kidding when they say HP has lots of bloatware.

I tried this and thought it did a decent job. Definitely did not muck up the registry. You should follow up with a disk search for folders/files afterward, but it is pretty thorough:

Yeah man, I know what you mean. I just bought a new HP myself a month ago, and I spent like the whole first day just removing and deleting all the junk.

Would any of you guys say it's worth it to actually purchase a registry cleaner, knowing it will be 100%? I know that with Crap Cleaner and all the other free ones you have to use some precaution. I'm considering just spending $30 to buy something I know I can rely on to NOT screw up anything.

CCleaner and RegCleaner both let you backup any changes. I find them both pretty safe. But if you really want to be sure, just set a restore point before using them.
