    remove Live messenger from hotmail?

    Recently since their change in hotmail, while running live messenger in any other status than "online", whenever i open up my hotmail account (the same email as messenger) on internet explorer, it always changes my live messenger back to "online"... and also changes my display name to the name i registered on my hotmail account.

    any way to make this stupidity not happen anymore whenever i want to run live messenger and check my email at the same time? :confused:

    i have tried it now and everytime i change my status on windows live messenger its always change on hotmail to the same status as wlm.

    while in hotmail, click on your name in the top right and select to sign out of messenger
