This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Is it worth tossing an extra 70 bucks on XP PRO 64 (if i own a 64bit pc) right now, or is it better to save up for Vista?

    I would just save up for vista. I don't think there are very many programs that are compatible with 64 for right now, but I could be wrong.

    Southerngirl is right...there aren't many programs that benefit from 64-bit processing right now. I think companies will start releasing more when Vista comes out, I would save up for that. :)
