Ok, I've had with DRM! AAAHHH!

What you do guys use to play a simple DVD movie from the store?
WMP works 50% of the time, VLC works 90% of the time, but these new ones have some kind of DRM the will not allow my computer to play a DVD movie on my big screen. It's really really starting to me off!

I ripped the movie into .WMV and removed the DRM and it works fine, but the quality isn't there...

I don't want to rip the movie every time, this is crazy...

What program do you guys use!

On my old Medion I had Power DVD 6 I think - worked great.

On my Vaio I have useless WinDVD - that programme crashes a often as it palys - or even more often... sometimes it plays a disc, sometimes it crashes...

At the moment Windows Media Player does a good job :)

    About your external screen.
Is that cloning the picture or using only an external screen?

Not sure if i should post this, but as their are programs in the free software list that do the same thing just not in realtime i can't see a problem. If its still not allowed please remove.

    http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

It works by removing the copy protection as the disc is inserted in effect "on the fly" it has a 21 day free trial so give it a try.
