What is "Program DJ", web site link please. This problem is more for the software support page. In other words the programmers don't know how to program, that is the problem. They are CLEAR guidelines to follow to make a software work between all windows, and future windows (as the compatibility system that Microsoft has by default considers that developers uses their guidelines and documentation, as they should.

Anyway, look for a new version of the program, if that doesn't exists, look for Vista compatible version, and if that doesn't exists, try this:
1- Right-click on the program executable or shortcut, and select "Run as administrator" and see if that works.

2- Right-click on the executable or shortcut, and select "Properties", go to the "compatibility" tab. You will notice a check box named "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", check it, and form teh drop down box bellow, try Vista, click on "OK" and try, if that doesn't work, try XP.. if that doesn't work, try XP, and check every check boxes, except teh first 2 ("Run in 256 colors" and "Run in 640x480...". And try.

If that also fails, and you run Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate edition, you can try the program under XP Mode.
