i read the sticky, and in the link:

    what's this mean:

Software Installation and Maintenance – automatically install, configure, repair, or remove software applications.

can someone give me a concrete example of how this is applied? is this much of a disadvantage?

i have xp pro installed and i'm thinking of doing a reformat and reinstall for my windows and programs partition. i won't be doing any web developing and programming this coming term. i don't think my notebook came with a drive image of xp home in a hidden partition and i was thinking of maybe using that because it'd be much faster. would i still be able to access my other partition which is in NTFS format if i use xp home? all my documents and music are there.

oh and will xp home mess up my wifi? i use a wifi router (linksys) for my house
