i have nero 8 installed on my system and was working fine till yesterday, when i tried to burn some files onto DVD. Nero started as usual. data caching was completed but it was unable to burn. it showed "power calibration error" and quit. i thought this was a software problem with nero and tries to burn using windows burn interface. It asked me to format my DVD first which i did. but after some time it showed "windows was unable to complete the format".

is my burner screwed. my burner is 'PBDS DVD+-RW DS-8w1p ATA Device'.
or is this some software problem. (i tried using many CDs and DVDs from diff manufacturers the same happens)
