Hey everyone, I am about to download a P2P file sharing program. I used to use Ares but I was just wondering if ther is something better you can recommend? And that is for free? Limewire is good but you gotta pay. Thanks!

Dude! Shareaza is the best P2P app out, period. Check it out at http://shareaza.sourceforge.net/

It's 100% ad+spyware free, extremely fast, clean, and professional, plus it connects to 4 networks (Gnuetella 1 and 2, eDonkey, Bittorrent)

    uTorrent

It doesn't even install on your computer, just add's an icon to your startup menu so you can run it from there.

I'm surprised a Mod hasn't stopped by here yet.

I'd say you guys shouldn't discuss this here....but, so far it seems to be clean.

I guess. But he didn't say what he intended to download so i inferred it would be fore legal downloads. Like e-books and stuff.

What's the difference between uTorrent and Frostwire, torrents and instant downloads?

I used uTorrent to download Open Office and it worked great, it only took 6 minutes. Can the same be done with Frostwire? What's Frostwire offer?

Look. With frostwire, someone has a file, they give it to you, slower, and more virus prone that torrents. With torrents, you go to the site, download your stuff, better speeds and better quality. With a much less likelihood of viruses and fake files.

    utorrent

but for that "instant download stuff" as Calvin put it, I say Direct Connect, especially ApexDC++. Complicated to setup and use but worth it in my opinion
