    no msconfig

    so i recently used my factory cd to install windows but there is no msconfig anywhere!

    anyone know if i can download it? or any alternative program

    that is weird. If you are looking for a program to manage startup tasks then I recommend autoruns.

    msconfig is not in windows 7 (it is just the name is different, but it is still in the other os's.)

    That's interesting - but I don't think the OP has a factory install version of Windows 7. ;)

    Is there any special reason for not installing msconfig? Whether any virus can spread through this? But I know that it will be useful for all all driver settings..
