    I use FixTunes on my macbook, and can recommend it. Since TagRunner does offer a free trial, use it and see for yourself.

    one question. for my music i have a folder for each album and i would like to know if i use fixtunes would i be able to select the folders i want to tag because some albums are already fully tagged.

    It's been donkey's years since I've tagged any mp3s, but I remember a program called Abander Tagcontrol, which was pretty powerful and worked well. It may still be around.

    Doesn't WMP itself update the tags by retrieving it from the net, if you give it some basic info such as artist, album and track no. ? I vaguely recall doing something like this too a couple of years ago.

    These days, I make sure that tags are added correctly when I rip the CD.

    MusicBrainz, uses fingerprinting.

    TigoTago ftw. Build tags from file names, filenames from tags, edit tags etc.
