    moving my music and windows media player

    i ordered an hdd optical bay caddy whih i intend to use with my extra 5400rpm wd 500bevt.

    i have my music in my momentus xt primary and i would like to move my music library to the wd drive. how do i accomplish this without making a mess of my library within wmp? i dont want duplicate albums or a bunch of titles with a red (x) on them. and no, i dont want to try other media players too.

    once you moved your music folders from the old location windows media player
    will empty your music library and you will need to point you media player to the new location

    so if i empty my old folders it will erase all the files in its library too?

    if you cut and paste all your folders to the new location wmp library will empty it self once you opened the the media player after moving your music folders
