hey guys im in need of serious help!

My laptop started off with a very small problem with wow keep saying "driver igfx stopped working and recovered" i found out that i need to keep the driver up to date so i downloaded the latest update for the driver and it didnt do much good. after that i read more and more forums about it but it didnt really give much solution. i even bought a coolling pad still no luck. i found out maybe updating windows would try and solve it but IT MADE THINGS WORST! my laptop started to freeze and eventually i had BSOD(blue screen of death). it made things hard and really fustrating trying to fix it. i still tried to keep updating vista but it downloaded this small upgrade it was recommended and ever since then i went into a loap of configuring updates and it never finishes! got up to 94% and thats it. not even safe mode and other things wont work! i really need help!!!

    my laptop spec is....
    Aspire 5720
Intel core 2 Duo processor T5250
252MB mobile intel graphics media accelerator X3100
    1GB DDR2
    120GB HDD

This looks to be more software than hardware. I'll move this to the Windows forum where there might be more help. I don't know how you can break out of that loop.
