Are the modem, audio, wifi & ethernet showing up in Device Manager? If so, check that you are not using a generic VGA driver.

If necessary, you should be able to use Vista drivers if you are missing any.

Is it using a Microsoft driver or an HP/Nvidia one?

Try the Vista video driver for your machine and see if the "coprocessor" thing goes away. If not, you can always let Windows reinstall the original driver.

    Found the problem
    It was the video drivers.
It was missing nVidia chipset and Raid drivers found on hp's driver download site

the microsoft drivers for video are actually more up to date than the one on hp's site

coprocessor in device manager went away

thanks for the input though. =]

Yeah, I figured it was probably chipset (as they are bundled in the video driver).

Hello, I have a F500 and upgraded to win 7. I have the exact same problem. I went to the HP site and downloaded all the video drivers I could find, but none worked. Can you tell me where on the site to find these drivers? I have worked on this problem for 2 weeks. Thanks for your help
