    Hi,
i got the 16gb ipod touch which means that i cannot put all songs from my itunes library onto my touch, i need to reformat my touch which means i have to go through the chore of going through my 4000+ library of songs, so was wondering if there was a way of getting itunes to remember what songs i have on my ipod touch before i reformat so that i can easily restore it afterwards or is there a third party app?

    Thanks for any help.

i know my itunes only syncs the songs i have checked off. so if you have all the songs on your itouch checked off in itunes when you plug it back in after reformatting it will only sync the checked songs. what happened to your touch that you need to reformat it?
