New guy here! Not much of a computer expert (far from it), bought a dell mini and am now wondering how to install software onto it since it has no disc drive. Do I have to get my hands on an external drive to do this or is there a way to do it through my desktop pc via a network or something? Any help is appreciated!

    thanks in advance!

Purchase a flash drive and transfer the setup files for whatever program you want to install on your netbook. Anywhere from 1GB to 8GB would be fine, depending on how much you will transfer at once or what you will be installing.

That is also an excellent idea. The only downside is that it is slightly more expensive, but eventually you will need one.
