    install VISTA ULTIMATE to an different pc?

    i currently have a pc with vista ultimate, but HP will be sending me a replacement pc, and i'll be sending this one back. the replacement will have vista premium on it. can i somehow transfer this copy of ultimate to the new pc? i dont have any discs or anything. can i do it?

    If the vista ultimate came with the first PC, it is an OEM version and is tied to that machine. You can not transfer it to a different machine.

    No can do. Not only is the OS an OEM version that's tied to the machine it was preinstalled on, but when you return it to _HP, you're also returning the license you had for that copy of _Vista, so you wouldn't even have a license to use that _Vista installation any more.
