    whats the best way to repair ie6 would use ie7 but norton firewall does not like it?

    delete ie and install firefox.

    I think you'll have to be more specific. What exactly is wrong with your IE6? Norton should have no problems with IE 6 or 7, so I see no reason you couldn't upgrade.

    Also, you cannot "delete" Internet Explorer. It is ingrained in Windows. Even if you remove it through Add/Remove Windows components, there will be some part of it there for you.

    0k when you type a website in on the bottom of the page its say error but the page is still there and some site will not load up the green bar at the bottom of the page start to load then stops i can not even get on to windows update or any microsoft websites any help will do

    Try downloading Firefox from http://en.www.mozilla.com/en/firefox/. If that works, it is a problem with IE. If it has the same issues, your internet connection might be the reason. You could also try disabling Norton Firewall. It may have a desire to block internet traffic for some reason.
