Well I have an 8GB iPod Touch. but I have around 9.2GB of music :(. All of my songs are MP3 and 128 bitrate. Anything I can do to fit all my songs on the iPod?

-I heard that AAC sounds the same as MP3s on lower bitrates - what bitrate should I convert the songs into if I want them to sound the same as a 128-bitrate MP3?

    Any other suggestions?

Make Sure that there are no duplicate songs in your library, and try to remove the intro songs, unless you like them. In reality you will only have about 7.2 gigs of space

Yeah, you will actually only have around 7.2 GB of space, as the OS takes up space and also the drives don't actually equal what they say, only close (2 GB marketed, 1.8 GB actual, for example).

I suggest you work with smart playlists...for example, you can choose to sync maybe 1000 songs that you least recently played, and that will update every time you've heard a track, so that it works in a cycle.

Don't convert your mp3s !!! Convert direct from the cd, or you'll lose quality and it'll sound crap, like 64kbps

128 aac, sounds as good as 160/192mp3 !

You could manually manage your music. I know it sucks but it's the price you pay for a solid state potable player.

One of the biggies is to not have itunes videos on your ipod. They take up way to much room.
