    I have the latest iTunes 7.7. Anyways, I keep getting the error:

    It works fine on my Desktop but not on my notebook. All my connections are good and I have allowed the firewall to let iTunes have access. I have tried reinstalling it but to no avail.

    Any clues?

    I do have AVAST Home Edition and don't know if it is the culprit. I'll check it out.

    AVAST does not seem to be the problem. I totally disabled it's online protection and I still get the error.

    LOL... It's trying to tell you that you should use Amazon MP3 instead. :)

    I just hate the DRM even though they have the non-DRM too. :rolleyes:

    I'll try Amazon MP3 later on.

    Maybe some other sort of software is conflicting with it? Some sort of anti-spyware/adware/etc. possibly?

    Maybe Apple is trying to scam you into buying a Mac?

    I know you allowed it, but... just try turning off outbound blocking on your firewall for a minute and try it.

    @DFI Fan: My lil bro had downloaded a game with a virus and it still hasn't fully been gone. I ran the diagnostics in the iTunes Diagnostics test and it said there was not a "secure link to iTunes Store." Running AVAST now...

    @swarmer: Already tried that. :)

    I think I'll just recover the whole system as AVAST can't attack the virus whole. I'm using the family laptop and I never really keep it in top notch, if I did this never would have happened. :rolleyes:
