Did you update music library from folder where music is?

Did you let Itunes change your music files? (the prompt after install)?

Were they I-tunes(purchased) or just MP3s you have on your pc?

Where are your music files located?

    In what folder? C:/???/???/????

Click File, then click add folder to library.

its in my music folder... the default iTunes.

    C:\Documents and Settings\*****\My Documents\My Music\iTunes

the reason i'm asking is because that i've heard on the internet that people are missing songs in their library... is that just for iTunes Music Store purchase? or is normal music affected too?

Yea, thats usally when they let I-tunes categorize music files.

You sure you dont have music in other folders you might not remember?
Maybe that why you see less.

Or maybe it is just your imagination......LOL

Ok, you check that box under preferences. It will copy music from your original folder to Itunes music folder.

The reason for doing so, I have no clue. This would take up more space. Maybe that where people lose files from.

YOU SHOULD CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR ORIGINAL FILES ARE STILL THERE IN YOUR ORIGINAL FOLDER.

I just click "file" and "add music files or folder" to library. It plays perfectly using original files, instead of itunes creating copies.

But as long as you have the original files, you should be OK.

I don't trust I-Tunes tho ... And will never let them copy or manage my folders. I just let them play music from the location it's originally from.
