Every time I exit an application a sound is made... just one quick tone (sounds thuddish). This also happens if something goes wrong as well (for instance, if a download fails, or there's an error in something it makes a big bass-sounding sound). To make it short, I hate these stupid sounds... how do I turn them off?? I hope I'm clear enough.. I can't describe them in much detail... just a thud, and a boom. Thanks!

Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Sounds Tab

    You can disable sounds there.
