    downloaded a gadget from the "more gadget" option,
    onced installed it woudnt work for me so I tried deleting and for some reason it wont let me...
    so I tracked down the folder and deleted most of its contents besides one that wont let me delete.

    here..C:\Users\Guest\appdata\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\SysInfo[1].gadget

    is this malware?? anyway to delete this??

    it says "destination folder acccess denied"

    its under the user guest but when I log on to my admistrator profile..its not located in the gadget folder

    Where is the gadget folder? Is it under \Users\Guest?

    EDIT: Oh, I see, it's under \Program Files, right? Well, make sure it's set (in the admin account) to view hidden and system files (Organize > Folder and Search Options > View > ...)

    I didn't realize you could access folder options from the Organize button! I always used alt>tools>folder options.

    thanks swarmer.. I just did a restore piont (make use of it since it takes so much space on my HD) , and its good as new

    at least now I know what to do next time

    LOL that's ok, I didn't know about the menu that comes up when you hit the Alt key.

    It looks like basically the same menu options though, just organized differently.
