    all the programs on mylaptop wont work a window pops up sayin "this file does not have a program associated with it for preforming this action. Create an association in the folder option control panel.
    Please help

    All files losing their program association usually means a corrupt registry, which can only be fixed with a repair or clean installation of the operating system.

    Try rebuild the icon cache, clear out all caches and temp folders then restart first.
