    Hey all,
I was looking to get the HP Spectre x360 and I'm thinking of doing a clean install of Windows 10 on it. I was wondering if you guys would recommend I do a system image backup? or should I do a Windows 10 recovery drive on a USB drive? or should I do both? I was hoping to be able to revert back to the factory HP settings if I ever wish to after clean installing Windows 10 on the Spectre.

    thanks,
    Squidycent

Doing a image backup in the OS will give you a way to restore the OS but not the factory software/bloatware etc..

Unless it comes with Window 10 a factory restore will be what O/S it came with. If you want a clean Windows 10 that will be a clean install but if you want a image backup you have the us the control panel to do a Windows 7 backup tool that is included in Windows 10 to do a image backup to make a recovery cd for the new Windows 10 install. FYI-factory restore recover will revert back to the factory installed O/S and all the stuff they bundled together if you have the HP restore disc or USB if they still make this for the computer otherwise your best to contact HP support and ask them this they can better answer your question.
