I need a video capture device for my desktop to record a demo. Fraps will only record 30 seconds even when registered. Even when it DOES try to record, it doesn't actually save the record file where it says it does.

What should i do? can someone help me find a new one, or fix my problem?

Only record 30 seconds when registered?

Did you buy the full version, or "download" it? (Don't admit to that second option, as it is against the Forum Rules).

The demo for Fraps only allows you to record 30 seconds, but if you have bought the full version, it should be working.

If you did, try reinstalling. If that does not work, contact Fraps, and tell them the problems you have been running into, maybe they can help.

Forum rules state that you should not bump your own post until waiting at least 24 hours.

I have fraps full version. When I installed it, I left the video capture settings to default. Right now, I press f9 to record during my game and it records as long as I want and it saves it as an AVI in my fraps folder, in C:\Fraps. It should do the same for you.

What L4d_Gr00pie said. My full version of FRAPS works also fine. I have changed the output folder btw...
    You can try that...
