Recently netstumbler released a new version of their software that supports more cards. This works great for finding all those wireless networks for you, and if you have a gps card you can even record the coordinates of where you found it.

I'm still a little confused as to what this thing does..
Does it search for wireless connections or something?

It scans for wireless networks and records the information about it. SSID, wether or not its using wep and so on.
