I have downloaded every browser that i know:
IE, opera, safari, google chrome, flock, and even firefox 4 which still in beta version
I wonder which is the best browser in comparison of speed and looks
something that looks nice and unbelieveably fast. I prefer tabs on top since it's always easier to use

If you're looking for a mixture of speed and appearance, then chrome is the browser for you, you can customize it with themes and it is by far the fastest browser i've ever used.

Chromium has been the fastest in my experience (an open source browser that's cutting edge tech updated nightly and on which Chrome is based on).
Can be a bit unstable ... though generally speaking I rarely encounter any kinds of issues.

Google Translate and AdBlock is really helping me out
but how about firefox 4 which have a similar look with chrome?

With slow mobile connections Opera's Turbo mode is worth trying. It isn't the rendering speed but data compression, so different kind of fast.

Last time I checked, Chrome and Opera 10.60 were neck in neck, depending on which website and/or which benchmark you use. But really, there are so many great modern browsers that other features should play more of a role in which browser you choose than minor differences in speed.

minor differences in speed? are you sure?

I tried that Turbo Mode, it decreases some functions(hiding maybe) in addition of speed
maybe sometimes it helps :) but I'm actually not interested

Yea, it's more usable when you drop from home 24Mbit dsl to 5.6k GPRS on the mobile. Then you can feel the difference :D

Don't forget about Sleipnir, Midori, K-Meleon, Maxthon, or Lunascape! They probably aren't any faster, but you might find them to be more visually pleasing. Although IMO only Lunascape and Sleipnir really vary enough from the standard look that there's even a chance of that.

But seriously, any of those you mentioned except perhaps IE and Flock should be fast enough that the difference in features will make more of a difference than the difference in rendering speed on all but the heaviest websites (think CNN). Opera may not always be the fastest browser (although often, and right now, it is very close to the top or at the top), but its keyboard shortcuts make up the difference for me when it isn't the fastest at pure rendering.

I tried IE 8, I don't know why but it always lag everytime I open more than 3 tabs. it sucks
maybe I'll stick with chrome (I'm using dev 6) :D it looks good and of course, fast
but I'll be looking forward to firefox 4! I'm actually not a big fan of firefox but in it looks better on this beta version ('google chrome' wannabe!!)
otherwise, I can't find any excess of using safari and opera

I use three; ie8, FF, and Chrome. The latest version of Chrome seems fastest. I had serious stability problems with Opera in it's latest version and had to uninstall.

I'd say Chrome. It runs super fast and it works on my friends 6 yr old computer very fast.
Firefox is not recommended because it use to be very fast but now its being bogged down due to the demand of the users (more plugins, features, etc.)

I used Chrome for a while, but it kept giving me error pages, and I had to refresh the page once to make it load. When it does load pages, its blazing fast. But I switched back to firefox, since refreshing the pages constantly for them to load was getting annoying.

Chrome has various extensions for it (Adblock included - which in about 90% of cases actually blocks ads and doesn't hide them like the earlier versions).

FF does have much more extensions available to it ... but in terms of responsiveness, I have to say Chrome beats FF my miles ... and since I use the new Adblock in Chrome, I have no issues.

I like using the three. Chrome is fast and simple but no yahoo toolbar. FF is great with add-ons and downloads, and Ie8 is the most stable for me and works best with MSN. I enjoy switching usage. At this point I cannot say I have a default browser.

Although ... I think Chromium (and possibly by extension Chrome) display Flash content in a slower manner than other browsers.

This depends upon the type of flash content you are viewing. Those annoying flash ads seem to choke up any browser I have used.

    whats wrong with IE8?
I use it at work and home and have at most about 15-20 tabs open with ZERO lock ups.
Tabs are websites from forums, image sites like flickr, homepages like CNN, MSN and no lock up slow down, etc.

I heard about quickness of Chrome and others, but with no problems with IE8, don't see big reason to download another browser.

I have an M11X by the way

I agree. Though I do have Opera and Chrome on my machine. I discarded FF a while back and never really got into Safari. Though with the previews I have had of FF4, it may be fun to try it out again. But I see nothing wrong with IE8 and actually quite prefer it as compared to the others.

Chrome is the best in terms of speed and memory usage. However, it is on the thin side in terms of customisation and features as compared to the other browser, i guess that is why it is faster.

Firefox is an improvement on the Internet Explorer.

While, Safari on either windows or Mac OS X is pretty bad, just as is Internet Explorer pre-8 in Windows (i have heard good things about IE8, i guess it is an improvement over the previous incarnations, just like Win 7 is over Vista).

Actually, IE 8 is pretty good. If only it had a good ad-block facility. There is apparently a way to do this, using the "InPrivate Filtering", but it requires the user to jump through too many hoops and is not a "fix" in any real sense of the term. Regardless, I have found IE8 to be very good infact. The only problem would be as and when FF4 is released. From the previews and beta, it looks good. Chrome, well, is Chrome...fast, thin, but that's about it!

I sometimes use Chrome, sometimes IE, for specific stuff but my main is always Firefox. If i use Chrome i quickly miss my addons and very own configurations in Firefox, which i have used for years without changing. Despite Firefox' slow starting and maybe a bit slower rending (Which will all be fixed in 4.0)

Chrome isn't exactly light on memory etiher, with those multiple processes, and stuff. Doesn't really matter though, i don't think it ever does those memory leaks firefox tends to.

..You guys want to be drunk with power..?

Drop the normal Chrome 5 and upgrade to Chrome 6 Dev Alpha... :D

By far the worlds fastest browser,it also scores the best on JS benchmarks, does not need flash updates..etc
Throw in the great theme selection and a pretty big extension library...

    On Chrome 6.0.472.14 dev

We will be waiting till sometime next year for IE9. The only problem I see with MS browsers (though I accept that IE8 is good and that I use it all the time) is that their frequency of updates are few and far between.

    Exactly how i feel, hehe.

Those benchmarks are useless... According to some benchmark i did, comparing Chrome and my Firefox, my firefox only score half of what chrome does... and it's not that bad at all, in reality. Not to mention that 4.0 will help ^^

Chrome, Safari and Opera sometimes has problems with secure sites which are geared to IE interface. And some of them have video playing problems too. I use IE8 and Maxthon. Maxthon is a bit faster than IE8.
