This is a little hard to explain, but on Windows Vista, when you right-click the desktop and select Personalize>Desktop Background, there is a drop-down box that says "Picture Location". Over time, the list has gotten cluttered. I was wondering if anyone knew how to clean this list up--basically to delete the extra entries. I've included a capture to show what I mean.

    Thanks

I believe CCleaner would clean that up. It's something like search history or last file location. I'm not sure of the exact terminology, but I'm pretty sure CCleaner would do that.

You can remove them by removing particular registry values. On mine, they are in:

    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Wallpapers\Images

    Hope this helps.
