I found an old unopened box of Borland C** manuals and disks (3.5 and 5.25 floppies). I do not have a 5.25 drive, but I do have a USB 3.5 drive as well as an old computer with that drive running Windows XP. Although the install disk will not run on my Windows 10 laptop, it does run on the old XP laptop but encounters an error after reading about 80% of the disk.

As Borland is out of business, I cannot contact them for assistance. I tried CHKDSK, but that doesn’t work on a FAT disk. Is there a work around that would repair the defective disk?
