Does anyone know how to merge multiple video files of the same type (ie 4 .ts files) into a single file (4 .ts file, 25 min each -> 1.ts file 100min). I have a few HD videos that are split into 4 .ts files and it's incontinent to have to switch between one another during playback. I tried to use this command: "copy /b *.ts merged.ts", but despite the fact that the merged file was the right size (17gb), it still only contained a quarter of the total video. I really rather no use conversion software since they take too long and degrade the quality.

You may get better information and help at http://videohelp.com There are a lot of guides there and a whole section dedicated to cutting/joining.

if switching between files is the only problem then why dont you just make a playlist of the 4 files (with a player like vlc) and just open the playlist file ... the switch between the files then would be barely noticeable and it would seem like a continuous playback.

That would be fine except I'm using a program called My Movies in MediaCenter to manage my videos and it can only recognise video files.
