The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

At my school you need to have their Symantic anti-virus software installed on your computer to connect to their internet. I hate anti-virus software. is there a way you can fake it? Is there some .dll file or small process that i can run to fake it? I'm sure someone has encountered this issue before.

Hacking is not allowed to discuss here.
Can't really help you with those kind of information anyway.

While discussing this topic is not allowed here on NBR, it can only get you a ban from this forum.
Actually doing what you would like to do, would imply hacking your school network and will probably result in a permanent ban from school, a fine and perhaps a criminal record.
Is all that really worth it?

As mentioned, we do not allow discussion of this nature(see forum rule). I suggest taking up the issue with your school's Administrators/IT department. They may be able to accommodate you.
