Does it reoccur every time you try to boot?

I'd say a driver problem and most specifically a video driver. What machine do you have? What GPU?

I say is not video/graphic card.
It is HDD problems. Host do you installed any burning tools recently or virtual drive software?
This softwares can cause BSOD on boot-up.

Sometimes, this error includes a specific file the error is occuring with...(pci.sys, usbhiv.sys, etc). Anything like that in the error message?

What is the make and model of the computer?

Any chance that even though you did not install anything that Windows update did? Tuesday was update Tuesday when many patches come down.

Microsoft has a specific write-up on the BSOD 0x0000007e.
