    after searching for a fix for serious sam2 sound problem, i found that the via driver works on most of ac97 based onboard sound.

    you won't be able to use the setup program if you don't have via chipset, but you can still update the driver in device manager.

    update driver->install from list(advanced)->don't search->install from floppy->point to WDM\Vinyl97.inf of the driver->update

    this driver removed the hissy noise from headphone, and fixed all my sound problem in any games. yes, the front panel buttons still work after you install this driver.
