Currently I am using Quicken 2004 for our tavern books. It's coming up short in the way it handles deposits and I'm not loving the reports. SO - does anyone use something they'd recommend? I need to be able to split deposits into income accounts and some cases expenses, i.e. cash paid out for supplies. Quicken allows this but then it messes up the reports, which are not all that customisable. I have not heard good things about Quick Books. I am in the middle of researching laptops to run whatever I get, so I'd to figure that out too.

    Thanks
    Chris

QuickBooks, while not perfect, is still the most robust solution for small biz that I've seen. I use MS Money, but my needs are very basic. I don't think it would be a good fit for you.

I will look into it. It would help sway me if my Quicken stuff can be imported into it. I'm also considering Simply Accounting and MYOB - both have new versions out.
