Nice they are taking the open approach. Seems like it should only benefit them and their users. I'm for it.

It's all about integration nowadays, that's the only way to compete with the competition.

Despite everyone else using Google, I have had Yahoo as my home page for many years. I like their basic style, and news flashes. Pretty much all AP stuff, but it's a quick and dirty way to get up to date on everything. I'll have to check out their new style. As long as it's fast and not slow loading like their new email system.

For me an AP News and Internet search page should just be basic text. No bling, flash, animations, or whatever. You want to get to your info quickly and not wait for it to be rendered.

I always welcome the addition of new features to chose from, but I hope that Yahoo will give us the option to retain the rest of our home page exactly as it was. New features and new looks are oftentimes worse than before! Other peoples' ideas of what is "better" doesn't always jive with what I want on my computer. I like the way my Yahoo home page currently looks and functions, and I want to be able to try the new features, but not lose the look that I had.
