Not sure if this in the right section or not...

    I have an asus v1s-b1, 2.4ghz c2duo, 2gig 667 ddr2 ram, 7200rpm hdd, 8600GT 512mb

My encoding times for xvid are really poor and I'm wondering if there is something wrong with my hardware..

When I encode something using a hdtv source I get 20-25 fps max

What sort of fps do others get on similar specs?

    thanks
