    Hi,
1)If I have XP Media Center 2002 OEM installed on my pc, and if I try to repair this xp by "Recovery Console" using XP Media Center 2005 (Retail), will that work?

    2) Also, will it work if I repair using XP Media center 2002 retail?
    3) If, in future, I clean install a retail XP mce 2005 (or 2002--whichever works), would my OEM xp mce Product key work?
Can someone please help me ASAP since I am having a major issue with my laptop?

    Thanks!

The only one I can answer for sure is number 3.

You can use the key on the bottom of your laptop, but you may have to call MS to get it to work properly.
