All of a sudden I've been getting a error every time I open Word, even if there's a black document on screen. A window pops up with "Could not load some objects because they are not available on this machine" message. I tried deleting the Normal.dot template, repairing Word with the installation CD but nothing has worked. This is apparently an Excel related problem with it's happening in Word.

I have Vista Home Premium and Office 2003. I'd appreciate any help.

What happens if you run "winword /a" without the quotations in Start -> Run?

The error message is not displayed if I run winword /a. Does that mean that a template is causing the problem?

Check your templates and add-ins section for any add-ins that are loading from there.

I have two add-ins from a third party application. The (external) applications seem to be working fine as far as I know, and its (the application's) Word add-ins were working fine until today.

I would remove the add-ins, then reinstall the apps that installed those add-ins. For starters.

Thanks, one of the add-ins was causing the problem.
