    Hi All,

So I got Virtual PC and the basic XP running on Windows RC. I have created a .vhd of my previous XP Pro and mounted in Virtual PC. Everything seems to work and the XP pro vhd boots up gets to windows than gets to a windows saying it needs to install various peripherals (keyboard, mouse) etc. I click okay, it seems to do some work, the blue screen of death and restart. I repeats this cycle until I interrupt it.

I then tried a prepare from a XP pro .iso on a virtual DVD-ROM, again same deal, it get through all the install selection with no problem, but then it blue screens and reboots in install window (with the green bar).

The blue screen disappears really quickly, but I can see some type of memory error. I've tried all different memory allocations (512MB to 2GB), but no go.....

Any suggestions on how to get my old XP pro build running again?

    Thanks!

    Josh
