    Hey guys,

I have two partitions a C:\ and a D:\ and when I do a start search through the start orb, it only searches through C:\ but not the D:\. Is this suppose to happen? How do I make it to search BOTH partitions? Thanks!

Your D:\ Should be your recovery partition in Windows, therefore it doesn't want to interfere with any of the files there. I'm not sure how to search both though.

    I don't think that'll do it...

    But... try this:

Control Panel > Sys & Maint > Indexing Options > Modify > Show all locations > Select whatever disks/directories you want to index.

What do you mean it should only be used for my backup files? It's just because my C:\ is half my hard drive so I started to put programs and files in my D:\ to spread the usage. Is this not a good idea?

No, no. I meant that if you haven't touched it, it's used for your Windows recovery but since you're already using it i assume you have windows recovery disks available. It's perfectly fine to use it.

Windows most often likes everything in it's default locations from my experience. I'm not saying that's what's causing your problem, but who knows?

Well its just that my C:\ is only like 116gb and my free space is 50gb left. My D:\ has 110 with 100gb left to use. Once I run out of space on my C:\ im thinking I will have to use my D anyways right?
