    Windows XP x64 SP2

11 updates, 95.5 MB successfully installed, including a Windows security update. 1 update, 1 MB, not successfully installed. The rest not applicable.

MS14-029 successfully installs on Windows XP Pro x64 after being manually downloaded, despite not being officially released for XP. The Malicious Software Removal Tool, May 2014 edition, also successfully runs on XP Pro x64. The latter actually showed up in Windows Update.

Couldn't get MS14-027 to install, though. Didn't try the other Windows ones, as they were either Vista or later only (not affecting 2003), or the .NET one as those haven't installed for me for months due to a corrupted .NET install.

Office 2010 update also still auto-update on XP. And there are a bunch of them this month. Also got one Visual Studio 2010 update. These all showed up in Windows Update.

I'll take a 12/13 success rate, and 3/4 for core Windows/IE security updates (including last week's IE update), this month while being officially unsupported.

Better to be late than miss the party,, :)

The Good old days of 56K modems,,I remember when dial ups were free and all over the internet,,went to aol party back then and one guy there had a 1 terabyte disk drive and was negotiating with aol to use it as a dial up server for aol ites in the AOL phone number directory for Norcal.. 1 TB drives now is inexpensive and in laptops.. :)

    Cheers
