    Hi you guys,

I have a Dell I6000. The weird thing with it is that when I close Windows Media Player..the sound from that continues to play...and when I load it up again, the song is still playing..It's like windows Media has closed, but hasn't fully closed. Any advice as to causes?

Sure you're not minimizing it? If not, might be worth a re-install, doesn't sound like it's closing properly.

You think I'm retarded to the point where I would not know how to close a program properly?

How long is it playing for? If it's like 10 seconds, then it's just some weird lag thing going on. And many times, these things have built in "memory" so you return to same place when you reopen a media player.

Unless you mean, it plays continuously, in which case, I have no idea.

    Reinstall WMP...
Do you have dell media experience installed or running when this has happened? DME uses WMP for music, so there might be some way (very odd way) that its keeping WMP open.

There's really no reason to act like a jerk. We have all ranges of people we try to help in these forums and sometimes it's the most obvious fix that gets overlooked. You're lucky anyone is willing to help you at this point.
