run the "wlsetup" again then you should see at the bottom left said that "this application will be updated - windows live messenger".

i'm installing right now. your question made me check
strange that they dont use that "update notification" when i log on to messenger. like usual.

 

I luckly found the old msn on my laptop when i did a fresh install on my pc. New msn sucks ^^

 

It has been out since around new year officially.
On the 26th December I installed messenger onto my new harddrive which I changed, I then noticed it was beta... but I couldn't get the version 8.5 to install anyway, so I left the beta on.
By the time around january came, the actual beta had ended BUT the build number 14. etc... which was BETA actually became the last version which is now the official release. So I have not had to re-download luckily

 

It is still RC.

 

I cant sign in guys! help me~ Always says service temporarily unavailable :S

its the best add on i ve been using ..and if it cant run with WLM 2009 then no use updating for me

 

Messenger plus works, i had to install it to regain my turquiose font color and then uninstall again . uninstalling keeps font colors

 

Windows Live Messenger was just updated a few days go. The newest build is 14.0.8064.206.

 

...why doesn't MSN detect that version for an auto update? I still have the previous one.

 

I'm curious about this also...I have the previous one, also.

I went on the official website and I had to download the installer again. The program is being updated now.

Windows Live Messenger 2009 FTW! The new interface is cool feels 2009ish (Dunno what that means but it sounds cool ), Ya kinda gotta dig for the options though not as obviously placed out as the older version. But still its worth DL'ing.

 

Dont see any improvements . I still got issues with MSN to YM .

no, but first: this is not a client but a server problem, second, it's somehow related with yahoo, and not really msn per se.

so the application has nothing to do with it and is 100% correctly working. it's a network/server thing.

it may have to do with the fact that 99% of the direct adress spammers are yahoo.fr? at least i only get directly targeted spam from yahoo.fr adresses. i'm from switzerland..

Mine is flipped . But that is because Asux cannot offer a proper 64 bit driver.

 

does anybody has the problem of the new msn getting disconnected and logging you offline? it is constantly doing that to me and then not re-login automatically for me. this is happening in both personal laptop and work desktop too!!

 

I can't download it form MSN from my proxy, anyone has a full installer direct download link?

it's the only internet connection I have available... I am too lazy to go to an internet cafe or some public place with WiFi... official offline installer would be nice!
