    Hi,

I've an acer 6930G. The Numlock has always been on when I turn it on, and off.

That's until I upgraded to Windows 8. Now when I turn it on, I have to press the Numlock button.

I've tried editing the registry, setting Initialkeyboardindicators to 2, but it didn't work. Microsoft support couldn't fix it either.

    Anybody have any ideas?

Don't have a solution but am curious.... I have the same issue on my Asus G73 after a clean Windows8 install... makes typing my pin to log in annoying as I'm always use to numlock being enabled by default... keep us posted if you find a solution

drives me nuts. turns my 4-digit pin into a 9-digit pin. (pin + num lock + pin again... every. time.)
