    Hey everyone,

So after updating and installing a new Nvidia driver for my GT640 my computer won't let me log in or do anything. It turns on, goes to the lockscreen, then stays there. It's connected to the internet and everything but the keyboard isn't responsive, etc.

    I have a 2012 Sony Vaio S series 15.5"

Ideas? It won't even let me boot into recovery mode, so I'm at a loss.

Turns out my keyboard and touchpad were knocked out. Was able to log in after connecting a mouse and keyboard.

So now how do I get my touchpad/keyboard to work again?

Are they disabled - or possibly physically disconnected from the board? You can check your device manager to see if they show up there (I believe they're listed as PS/2 devices under the Keyboard tree and Mouse and other pointing devices tree).
