I bought a laptop from from Sony's website in mid September. I ended up returning it a week later due to unexpectedly poor performance. Anyways, this laptop was available for a free Windows 7 upgrade.

Today I received a package in the mail, I opened it and found that Sony sent me the Windows 7 upgrade disk despite me no longer having their laptop.

So my question is what do I do?

I have a cyberpowerpc desktop that is running Vista. I would love to just do a clean install on my desktop, but I'm not sure if there would be compatibility issues or anything.

it is technically not legal to install it on your desktop, even more so because you do not still own the original computer
