    Windows 7 and Super Talent 64gb SSD Perfomance

    Hi
    I just installed Windows 7 on Super Talent 64gb LX Masterdrive SSD ($169 on Newegg)

    Surprisingly, Write speeds are much better (atleast for larger chunks) on Windows 7 compared to Vista.

    Among other noticable changes are quicker boot time (40 sec including connecting to wifi probably becuase its a fresh install) , more TV channels detected in Media Center.

    I have attached ATTO benchmarks (Top one is Vista) for exact same partition.

    Interesting. Maybe the el cheapo SSDs can be used with Windows 7

    I don't see how having an SSD would matter in any way for having "more tv channels" as the OP stated.

    I mean that it was an improvement over Vista regardless of drive type.

    Its still usable in Vista. Atleast for normal use.
