    Windows 7 Task Manager lost "power"...

    I have got to say that with XP i could go always to task manager to kill a stuck program, in W7 it is common that task manager get stuck also. Anyone experienced this?

    Are you using the Processes tab or the Tasks tab? I haven't had any trouble with the task manager in W7, but i kill the process directly if it bothers me that much.

    Type in the Run box:

    taskkill /f /im programname.exe

    I have yet to run into a process that I couldn't kill with the task manager.

    I forgot which one it was, but 1 of the anti-viruses wouldn't allow you to kill its processes. It would say access denied or something.
