On the windows 8 task manager, we get to see the cpu usage and cpu speed in real time every sec, how come i only see the cpu usage but not the cpu speed on the windows 7 task manager?

Is this only a feature on windwos 8 task manager?

to my knowledge, yes. of course you can use a third-party program in W7 to monitor CPU frequency (e.g. cpu-z), but this is one of the additions to the revamped W8 task manager ( however inaccurate).

Pretty much the same task manager with the same info as Win7, just less colorful and flat. Just click on the arrow that says "More Details" and you will see threads, and other info.
